The heart is a muscle, and like other muscles, it requires an electrical impulse to be activated. Without this consistent, driving pulse, life ceases to exist in the body. God has also orchestrated prayer as the main artery to carry His blood, His life source, to every member of the Body.

A heartbeat demonstrates that something is still alive. We are seeing a recession in intercession in the churches of America, and as a result, the Body is trying to advance and become a vital force in the earth without any power flowing through its veins. Just as a heartbeat must continually be in motion, sending forth signals of life, we must never cease in intercession for the nations of the earth.
